Welcome to the American Psychological Association's Contact Division 12, Section II homepage! This section of the Society of Clinical Psychology is devoted to research, training and the provision of psychological services for older adults (i.e., geropsychology).

On these pages, we will provide information regarding our mission, leadership, current conference program schedules, newsletters, continuing education opportunities, research funding and job information, important Public Policy updates, awards, and other resources in adult development and aging. View the training guidelines necessary to become a clinical geropsychologist. You can also apply for membership by using the form available online. We have student pages, with content relevant to student members written and maintained by our student representatives.

After visiting our site, please be sure to provide us with feedback. We are interested in providing the most current and interesting information possible, and in having a site that is useful for students, professionals, and older adults with interest in clinical geropsychology.

The purposes of Section II are to promote the general objectives of the
American Psychological Association and the Division of Clinical Psychology;
to support and to encourage the evolution and development of the subspecialty of clinical geropsychology in both its scientific and professional aspects; to increase scientific understanding of the mental health of older adults; to promote the development of models for the delivery of psychological services to older adults, as well as other ways of enhancing the welfare and mental health of older adults; to foster collaboration and the sharing of information among clinical geropsychologists; and to increase the quality and availability of training opportunities in clinical geropsychology.
