The Services Research and Clinical Epidemiology Branch (SRCEB) of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is pleased to announce a special workshop for mental health services researchers interested in submitting a career development award. The day-long workshop, entitled, "Answering Your Questions: a T.A. Workshop for Services Research K Awards," will be held on Thursday, March 13th, at the Neuroscience Center in Rockville, MD, and will include discussions about all phases of the application process. Attendees will be required to develop (and send ahead of time) a 3-5 page concept paper, outlining their professional autobiography, and what they hope to accomplish through the award. The concept papers will be discussed in small groups with NIMH project officers, and all questions about the K award process will be answered. As this workshop is open to all researchers interested in a services research-focused K award, we will be unable to cover travel expenses for attendees. However, we will require those interested in attending the workshop to email us at nimh-srceb@mail.nih.gov or call Denise Juliano-Bult or David Chambers at 301-443-3364.
